Statement of Privilege

Meadows founder​ recognizes they have benefited from systems of oppression designed to benefit people who look like them. ​Meadows Agency expresses our deepest respect for and gratitude towards the original and current caretakers of this region.​ We acknowledge that our services are statewide and on the homelands of Native peoples, who have lived in this region from the beginning. They share their traditional homelands and waterways of Turtle Island, also known as North America. Some of these are nations and confederacies that represent multiple tribes and bands. We are committed to personal edification by examining how we internalize and spread colonization, the traumatic impacts it has had on people, and supporting those who uproot systemic oppression in our communities. We will not partner with organizations, groups, or agencies who cannot condemn colonization. We are open to feedback regarding this statement and our actions, which you can provide here.
