Our Equity Rate Model
The following is a large amount of information in concise form. We are happy to talk more about this, so don’t hesitate to reach out or ask your provider during session. Many frameworks for business create financial barriers, so this is an effort to center equity in my practice. If you are an organization or provider, I encourage you to use this model verbatim or with more of your business needs in mind.
The Details

The market/median self-pay (not using insurance) rate for therapeutic services, with an Advanced-Level clinician (has a postgrad degree), is $175 - $225 per 50-60 minutes. This “market” rate impacts each person differently and disproportionately marginalizes folks who encounter barriers of racism, sexism, ableism, classism, etc. To address this, I encourage you to use the assessment below to decide at what level your rate needs to be for services. Please review the assessment questions and then locate yourself within the scale based on your present moment circumstances. We will check in periodically to see where you are at and it does not have to be a conversation initiated by your clinician should your circumstances change.​​​

2025 Rates
Access Rate $80 - $105 For those with very limited financial resources, we offer this below market rate. Our intention is you are able to access support without financial strain. Limited availability, individual appointments.

Support Rate $130 - 160 This is a below market rate for those with limited financial resources. Our hope is you are able to access support without financial strain. Limited availability, individual appointments.​

Market Rate $175 Select this rate if, with this rate budgeted in, you are able to meet your basic needs comfortably along with a few expendable wants. Limited availability, individual appointments.​

Redistribution Rate $180 - $280 If you can pay a rate that is higher without negative impacts and hardship, this amount supports those with less resources, access therapy at a reduced rate. Limited availability, individual appointments.

75 minute Extended Session Rate $250 Select this rate if, with this rate budgeted in, you are able to meet your basic needs comfortably along with a few expendable wants. This is a self-pay rate, meaning an insurance plan is not being billed for services. Many folks utilize this service for longer EMDR sessions, assessments (court required included), or anything else they need and we have planned for in advance.

Groups
You are welcome to join more than one monthly group at a time if space is available! We meet 3 months on and 1 month off. Months without groups are April, August, and December.

EMDR Group Consultation Rate $75
Focus: practitioner well-being, decolonization, feeling grounded in EMDR basics, AIP, and interweaves and interventions EMDR Certification hours available.
Social Work Clinical Supervisors Group Rate $75
Find support with other LICSW Clinical Supervisors like you, meeting once each month.

LICSW Supervision Group Rate $75
For LICSW associates and those seeking supervision of supervision hours, meeting once each month.

Using insurance comes with the requirement to pathologize the experience of being human, to disclose highly personal information, increases healthcare costs, and uses treatment plans and practices that are not individualized and most likely whitewashed. A benefit of not using insurance is that your private information has greater confidentiality because information about your sessions is never shared with your insurance company.
Along with being upfront about pricing, this practice complies with the "No Surprises Act" (2022) and supplies a written Good Faith Estimate for private pay services. If we are not contracted with your insurance carrier, you can choose to pay by card online (self-pay). FSA and HSA cards and payments are accepted as well. We do not provide superbills to insurance carriers we are not contracted with.​​
